The same applies to project numbers, where 99 is sorted after z.B. 800. It would be nice if that is also sorted numerically

Katharina Hermann: Since project labels can also be assigned completely freely, numeric sorting is even more difficult here.
But you can enter the “number of digits for number (to fill up)” in the number range. That should solve the problem.

Benedikt Voigt: Thanks, that solves our display problem.

Hello Weitz, Françoise, do you mean the employee list? You can sort them, right? Could you maybe send a screenshot of the spot?

Hi Benedikt Voigt,
Yes, but the sorting is then not based on “digit value” (see screenshot).

Wenzel, Ronny: The personnel number is no longer numeric
but alphanumeric.
An easy solution for you would be to enter the string “0001" instead of 1.
This would then appear before the string “1000".
But it would probably be more convenient for future customers too if projo would automatically recognize whether they have only entered numeric values or not.
Let's have a look at that.

Benedikt Voigt Thank you so much for your prompt response!
What is the reason for not sorting numerically anymore?
With regard to a DATEV link, a (re) changeover would be conceivable. DATEV sorts numerically, which could possibly lead to difficulties.
Benedikt Voigt
Wenzel, Ronny: As far as I know, due to DATEV (or other third-party programs), we first made the change so that the personnel numbers can also be alphanumeric. So “1a” instead of just “1".
And the fact that numeric sorting no longer works as a result is more of an unintended side effect. But we are happy to change that.
